The hotel is definitely past it's sell-by date and is in need of a renovation. My room felt grubby even though it was clean and the pillows were like paving slabs.

    Good

I like the location of the hotel, being near the train station and the center.

I didnt get much sleep due to quests shouting most of the night/morning.

    Superb

The bed was very comfortable, great mattress and a choice of bath or excellent power shower.

The bath didn't hold water very well it kept going down the plughole. The bathplug seemed to fit but must have been a size too small. The key card was very hard to operate, it didn't like opening the door!

I had no sleep. I stayed in single room 308 and was kept awake all night due to a boiler or something. There was a constant sound of humming like being under a tunnel then every 15 or so seconds a fog horn type sound followd by the sound of pipes banging on a sink. I HAD AN IMPORTANT AUDITION THE NEXT DAY WHICH WENT VERY BADLY AS A RESULT OF BEING KEPT AWAKE ALL NIGHT. WHEN I TOLD THE RECEPTION THEY DID NOT OFFER ME MY MONEY BACK. I WILL BLACKEN THE NAME OF THE HOTEL IF I DO NOT RIGHTLY RECEIVE MY MONEY BACK. I HAD PAID MONEY FOR THE RIGHT TO A GOOD NIGHTS SLEEP AND DID NOT GET MY MONEY'S WORTH AND MY AUDITION WAS RUINED.

    Fabulous

The entrance is smart and efficient in decor and service. The food was plentiful, wholesome and variable. The suroundings in the dining area were satisfactory, clean and well run. The bed were comfortable, the trouser press useful and the bathroom, shower/bath good. There was no noise at night which was appreciated

The card key was difficult to start with, but worked when shown exactly how to use it. The tv in the room was small, dated and the channels sometimes fuzzy. The decor in my room was in need of a repaint, there were blotches on the walls that needed repair, some skirting board in the bathroom was missing by the door. The rooms seemed a long way from the lift.

The hotel was very shabby. The mirror was cracked in our room and there was a hole in the plaster on the wall. The fire alarms went off at 01.40 in the morning and we vacated our room to be told it was a false alarm. We got back into bad and the alarms went off again. Again this was a false alarm. the alarms went off a third time in the morning and again was a false alarm. It seems the staff did not know how to disable the alarms and enable them again. This was dangerous and led people to not even bother to respond to the alarms. We had a terrible nights sleep because of this and feel we should be reimbursed for the disrupted nights stay.

    Fabulous

5 of us travelled from Glasgow by train. The Hotel was only minutes away from the station. We were in Wolverhampton for the "Grand slam of Darts" held in the Civic Hall, again it was only 5 minutes away walking.

    Very good

Central location. Close to bus and rail and motorway. Value for money on just a basic business visit.

Lift and WiFi not working on my visit.

    Fabulous

Central location and facilities surrounding it.

It was a little tired and worn in the room, but ideal for a budget experience or a business overnight.
