I had a solid stay with a comfy bed and a nice view, though the bathroom was a bit outdated. The pricing was reasonable and a definite value for the money.

The Britannia hotel offers great value with friendly staff and comfortable beds. While the decor feels a bit worn and the cleanliness isn't perfect, the central location near transport and pubs makes it convenient for travelers. The hot water issue was unfortunate, but overall, it served its purpose for a budget stay.

central spot for city exploration and green park escapes
I stayed in a cozy double room for a weekend and found that I was just a few steps away from the Wolverhampton Art Gallery and a lovely park, perfect for my city strolls and outdoor moments, although I did notice some signs of wear in the corridors that could use a little attention.

Had an amazing time with my friends! The venue was perfect for our group vacation, close to theatres and shopping. Great for enjoying local nightlife too! For future guests, it's a solid choice if you're looking for convenient access to everything around. The staff was friendly, which added to our experience, and breakfast was decent.
One issue we encountered was the cleanliness of the room. There were some cleanliness issues that could use improvement.

The corridors were filled with the stale odor of cigarette smoke, and the peeling decor added to the overall dreariness. The room itself was uncomfortably cold, making it hard to settle in. Although the sheets were clean, the bed provided little comfort for a good night's rest. A notable highlight was the friendly receptionist, but this alone couldn't compensate for the negative aspects of the stay.

It was just a proper fit for a brief stopover in Wolverhampton with outstanding value for money. The friendly evening security guard made us feel welcomed despite the overall tired state of the place. If you need WiFi, check elsewhere because it’s not available in the rooms.

Cheapest deal but at a cost!
Spent a night here and honestly, I doubt you can beat the price in town! Great spot near transport and loved having a bar to chill at. But man, that bed was a nightmare—woke up with a sore back. I couldn't get a receipt when checking out which was a bit annoying.

For those on a budget and seeking a place to sleep
The staff were super friendly and went above and beyond, especially when I had trouble finding my way at night. Plus, the room was clean, and for a quick overnight, it did the job.
It's not the cheapest option out there but for what I got, it was acceptably priced.

The Britannia's dining scene is a proper treat, especially with nearby gems like The Lounge just a short stroll away for a cheeky pint. The Lock Works Cafe Bar served up some lush brews, making breakfast feel like an adventure.

The location next to the train station makes it convenient for quick access. Despite its flaws, the evening security guard was an unexpected highlight, providing a sense of safety when returning late at night.
The state of the building is concerning, with visible wear throughout, from the lobby filled with dead plants to the outdated lifts. My room had neglected furnishings, with dusty lamps and a bedside draw that literally fell apart. The bathroom, while slightly clean, revealed hasty repair work that looked poorly done, and the issues persisted with inconsistent hot water during showers. Even the TV remote was a letdown, covered in oil and poorly patched up with tape. I couldn't justify trying the breakfast after seeing the dining area's lack of cleanliness.
